Chaos frequently occurs in our perceived landscape in the form of planting design created by the uninitiated who have had no training in planting design, love plant material but have no sense of order, of structured design.
This results in an unimaginative approach where far too many effects of jumbled ideas have been thrown into a mixed ragbag which can be likened to cassata ice cream full of coloured bits which have no direct relationship either in form or colour or structure, shape, texture, and so on.
