Bob Allies and Graham Morrison founded their practice forty years ago in 1984. Since then, the focus of their work has gradually widened to include urbanism as well as architecture. In this talk Bob Allies reflects on this process and considers the issues they have addressed in three London projects: Kings Cross, the UAL London College of Fashion in the Olympic Park, and their own studio in Bankside.
Bob Allies is currently chair of the Faculty of Architecture at the British School at Rome and a professor at the University of Bath, where he is also the city’s Architect in Residence.
This is the second of two talks from Bob, the first can be found here Tabula Inscripta.
This talk was recorded at Allies & Morrison Studios, London.
